Name.com review became necessary after some of our readers got in touch with us privately on reading the top Worst and best domain registrar post asking about the criterion for getting them listed a-top.

Well, as seen on our earlier review of best web hosting companies, the benchmark for ranking products and services stems from research, testing them over a time and then sharing our various experiences.

In the case of Name.com, we haven’t had a recent experience with them as it has been a long time ago since we transferred our domain names and related products to Namesilo and haven’t got a reason to look elsewhere.

So our Name.com review and opinion would be based on the experiences we’ve had with them in the past as we look forward to trying out either of their SSL certificates and/or WordPress hosting services.

Name.com Introduction & Features

Name.com is no mean name on the internet of today as they have been around since 2003 and have served lots of clients including our freelancing websites of then days.

Name.com operates from Denver, Colorado, United States, and offers along with their domain registration services;- custom email hosting, web hosting, easy website builder, SSL certificates, and lots more.

Some of the features we loved about Name.com and that makes them stand out from their fiercest competitors include and not limited to:-

Friendly Support

Even though we do not have a recent experience to share about the tech support team at Name.com, we’ll like to re-affirm that the support we received was really fast, top-notched, and result-oriented.

Online services growing cold in their technical support department once the company gets popular is a regular occurrence with many big names in the industry. But Name.com seems to have a team that understands the needs of its clients.

Non-Intrusive Admin Panel

Domain name is the first and simplest thing to do when thinking of taking your business online.

It is as simple as buying a unique identity that suits your brand; hosting it on the web, redirecting it to your fan page or reserving it for future use.

But most domain registrars try to make this process cumbersome by caring so much about upselling other related services, and not giving you a management dashboard that lets you manage your products without any form of distraction.

Transparent Pricing Model

Name.com review would not be complete without talking about their pricing model. Even though they aren’t the cheapest registrar around or offer free whois privacy like Namesilo, they do have a pricing model that every one of their users can easily relate with.

Their basic SSL certificate (RapidSSL) offering for basic users is one of the most competitive options for start-ups and works flawlessly with all popular hosting services.

Security

Name.com integrates the award-winning Two-Step Verification module that makes it difficult for intruders to tamper with your account without having access to your smartphone.

Our Name.com Review and Verdict

name.com review and experiencesName.com is a decent enough option for buying domain names and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates.

Even though our primary recommendation is Namesilo for domain names and MDD for hosting, we can’t fault the awesome services provided by the team at name.com.

Name.com is ICANN-accredited and has support for a wide range of generic top-level domains (TLDs) and country-specific TLDs.

Your Turn

This is the much we are able to share on our Name.com review and experiences. As you can see, there is no mention of their hosting and website building app, this is because we haven’t used any of them yet.

We please ask for an honest review, opinion, and suggestion from anyone that have used or still using the services of name.com.
