Olight has launched the Oclip 2 Series at its September 19 O-Fan Day event in Houston. The lineup includes the Oclip 2 Pro and Oclip 2 Ultra, both built around a dual-axis mounting system designed to make hands-free lighting easier to position across work, travel, and outdoor settings.
The mechanism allows the light head to tilt up to 115 degrees while the clip rotates a full 360 degrees. Once attached to clothing, backpack webbing, a pocket, or other gear, the beam can be redirected while the mounting point stays in place. Magnets built into the MCC tail and clip add another placement option on compatible metal surfaces.
Oclip 2 Pro
The Oclip 2 Pro combines flood, spot, and red lighting modes. Flood output reaches 530 lumens, while the focused spot beam can reach up to 125 meters. Red light tops out at 40 lumens and provides a lower-impact lighting option for nighttime use.
Olight cites 10,000 clipping cycles and 10,000 rotation cycles in durability testing for the new mechanical system. Product materials also list IP66 protection and a 2-meter drop-resistance rating, helping position the Pro for regular outdoor and work use. A clip opening that accommodates objects up to 14 mm thick gives the light room to attach to collars, bag straps, webbing, and other everyday mounting points.
Oclip 2 Ultra
The Oclip 2 Ultra adds an in-house R/UV emitter that integrates red and ultraviolet output in the same compact assembly. UV output reaches 800 mW, providing an inspection option for fluorescent leak-detection dye and other UV-reactive materials. Flood output increases to 580 lumens, and spot reach extends to 130 meters.
The Ultra’s body and head use Olight’s OAL aluminum, and the model includes OclipBeat, a small breathing light that changes color according to accumulated usage time. Color choices include Olive Green, Onyx Black, and Amber Orange. The combination gives the Ultra a more specialized role for users who regularly move between close-range work, inspections, and general illumination.
Charging, dock, and pricing
Both Oclip 2 models support USB-C charging along with Olight’s magnetic MCC system. Premium configurations include a 1,000 mAh Mobile Charging Dock that can recharge the light while stored, display battery levels for both components, and extend total runtime to approximately twice that of the light by itself.
Oclip 2 Pro is priced at $49.99 in Classic Black, High-Visibility Orange, and Tidal Blue. Oclip 2 Ultra is $69.99. Premium versions pair either model with the 1,000 mAh charging dock, giving users a compact way to keep the light topped up between jobs, hikes, commutes, or trips. Olight says its clip-light family has reached more than one million users worldwide. The new models are available globally through Olight’s official store, Amazon, and authorized retailers.
