Live at IFA 2026 in Berlin, Sunseeker is showcasing its 2027 S-Series robotic lawn mowers. The presentation centers on the S7 and S5, two wire-free models that use LiDAR mapping and digital controls to manage different lawn sizes and layouts. AI vision forms part of the S7’s perception stack. Here is a clear look at what the company is demonstrating on site.
Both models use autonomous mapping without a perimeter wire or positioning base station. After the first map is created, owners manage boundaries, zones, and restricted areas through the MapOS software.
The S7 Flagship

The S7 LiDAR Ultra AWD 3000 is built for large, complex residential gardens. It covers the 3,000-square-meter class and uses AllSense 2.0 with 360-degree LiDAR for autonomous mapping and navigation. AI vision helps interpret objects in the mower’s path, with recognition and avoidance covering more than 360 obstacle types, according to Sunseeker.
Key S7 hardware includes:
- All-wheel drive for slopes up to 80 percent, approximately 39 degrees
- A 35 cm dual-disc cutting system for wider coverage
- An integrated Extension Hub for compatible attachments
- An optional EdgeZero trimmer head for closer boundary finishing
MapOS can display the property in 2D or 3D and supports multiple maps for separated lawn areas. Point-by-point editing lets an owner adjust the digital boundary without repeating the full setup process. The S7’s combination of map controls and AWD is aimed at sites with passages, elevation changes, and several mowing zones.
What the S5 Offers

The S5 LiDAR Ultra AWD 1800 targets mid-to-large family gardens in the 1,800-square-meter class. It shares the AllSense 2.0 mapping system, MapOS controls, and all-wheel-drive slope rating. Its dedicated cut-to-edge disc is built into the product’s lawn-finishing setup, giving users a direct way to reduce manual edging after a mowing cycle.
S5 uses a dedicated edge disc for regular family gardens. The S7 configuration includes the wider dual-disc cutter and Extension Hub for larger plots and optional attachments.
MapOS supports 2D and 3D garden views, point-by-point boundary editing, no-go zones, and settings for individual areas. Sunseeker’s broader Smart Garden software also brings in rainfall, weather, soil conditions and lawn-health information. AI Lawn Intelligence uses those inputs to produce tailored care guidance.
Sunseeker identifies irrigation and other coordinated garden-care systems as future development areas.
IFA Showcase Details
Sunseeker is running live product demonstrations throughout IFA from September 4–8 in Hall 11.1, Booth 107 at Messe Berlin, highlighting key capabilities such as slope climbing, LiDAR mapping, obstacle avoidance, and edge cutting. Both models are planned for market release in February 2027.
